When our consumer complaints begin to
fall out rapidly, one of two things has happened.
The entity has started to obey collection laws to
avoid fines, or they've changed their name to escape
the bad press and reputation. Keep an eye out
- we're thinking it's the second option...
Bottom feeders collecting for
entities such as Capital One,
violate protocol and continue to insult American
consumers with their use of call centers from India.
Receiving a call with a ‘thick’ foreign accent from
collectors using names such as ‘Jack Russell’ and
‘Lisa Smith’ is almost as irritating as having to
watch a Capital One television commercial.

Vantedge owner, Dennis Scholl may have some
experience and achievements as a debt collector, but
using callers from India is considered an insult to
Americans and proof that you cannot afford to pay
decent wages for Americans to do his dirty work.
These callers are completely void of our laws and
lacking in business etiquette and ethics.
I find their accents and lack of
protocol particularly insulting and would not send
them a dime. They are easy marks to keep on hold,
wasting as much of their time as possible. They constantly switch
between other workers offering ridiculous statements
and making demand for money that they have little
knowledge on.
This organization may attempt to give
you an impression they are slick and have things
under control; I give them an F- for coming across
as unprofessional and cheap in their approach.
